Basecamp is a new exciting opportunity that has been offered to a select number of students in Y8 for a two-year trial to experience outdoor activities and challenges. The programme is committed to providing innovative learning experiences that combine adventure and education in a positive and creative environment. On Friday 12th November the selected students have the opportunity to walk up the second highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales- Ingleborough. They left school at 8:30am and commenced their walk at 11:00am. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal as it rained sideways resulting in us being unable to reach the top of the mountain. However, the students showed unbelievable amounts of motivation and resilience which they should be proud of.
An incredibly tough challenge which was faced head on. Well done to all the students and we look forward to your next adventure!
