On Tuesday 7th December, the Performing Arts department brought back the annual Christmas Showcase with an incredible performance staring WHS’s talented students.

Over seventy parents and carers, alongside numerous extremely proud staff, came to watch, as students from Year 7 to Year 11 took to the stage. Together with fantastic performances from the various ensembles, notable performances came from Year 9 Zoe Helm and her mesmerising singing, Year 8’s Amos, Archie and Madi performing the crowd-pleasing Run Run Rudolph and Lily Brown’s incredible first performance at WHS on the Violin with Clean Bandit’s ‘Symphony’. Finally, The Wetherby Players’ light-hearted first performance together of ‘The Night Before Christmas, gone wrong’ was both funny and clever; how could those elves not get you into the Christmas spirit!

We are extremely proud of all the students who took part in the Christmas Showcase and thank you to all the parents and carers who came to support their amazing children. Miss Sweetman and I could not have produced such an amazing event without the support of all the staff, tech team and admin who have been wonderful since the start of the year!
