Students in Year 7 and Year 8 joined more than 30,000 students in secondary schools across Yorkshire and the Humber that took part in #RestartaHeartDay on Friday 14th October. Learning the vital skill of CPR Call. Push. Rescue. from Yorkshire Ambulance Staff and Volunteers, using the song ‘Staying Alive’ to save lives.

We were joined by Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Tim Hare, whose role is to represent the Royal family, looking after them when they visit West Yorkshire. He explained the Royal family oversees and supports over 650 charities with restart a heart being one of them and the importance of learning this vital skill at such a young age will allow students to potentially save someone’s life.

Thank you to everyone that supported and took part on the day.
