Our Queens Jubilee Cooking Competition in collaboration with The Pudding Lab (Boston Spa), Morrisons Wetherby, Wetherby Lions and Printworks North took place on Monday 16th May in the Food DT department throughout the whole day. 16 students from both yr7 and yr8 (4 from each house) participated and spent the day baking a desert. They either made a recipe or picked a recipe they thought was fit for a queen, then tweaked the ingredients to add their own twist to it.
The entry’s included a chocolate lava cake, lemon Bakewell slices, a cake which was coloured red and blue and a chocolate biscuit cake a cheesecake, ginger biscuits shaped like cups and a red velvet cake.
Well done to everyone who took part, the standard very high.

Congratulations to DP who was the overall Winner with his Crown inspired cake.
