Wetherby High School is a forward-thinking school in a semi-rural area of North Leeds. We are proud of our caring and inclusive reputation and have a strong team of professionals committed to developing and delivering a rich learning experience for all our students. Our ethos is based upon inclusive and restorative values that we believe best allow every student the opportunity to realise their full potential.

We are now seeking to appoint an Administrator to join our friendly office team who has tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment and enhance our busy support teams. The successful candidates will have GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, excellent IT skills with the ability to utilise the full range of Microsoft applications.  Experience and knowledge of SIMs would be advantageous, although full training can be provided. Experience of finance administration and publicity/communications administration would be preferable but not essential.

Duties will include visitor/student reception, preparing correspondence; preparing mailshots and other key documentation for parents/carers, students and staff; preparing and collating data and other management information; undertaking and supporting exam processes; and assisting in the co-ordination of school events.  Well-developed organisational and communication skills are essential, as is a flexible, responsive ‘can do’ approach to team working. The post holders will support our coaching programme and house system and be willing to be a student coach if required. It is essential that the post holders share our school ethos which is firmly rooted in a restorative approach and the following values: to ‘Know our children well’; to be ‘Partners in Learning’; to develop ‘Character for Achievement’; to ‘Enjoy and Aspire’. We firmly believe that in order to move forwards we need to be prepared and able to ‘do things differently and do different things’.

We significantly invest in the development and training of all colleagues who are equally happy to share their expertise, skills and knowledge across the organisation. If you are looking to be stretched and challenged within a positive and creative staff team and you have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to our children, please submit an application form, covering letter and CV to mailto:[email protected] by noon on Monday 4th July 2022. Please visit our website or telephone on 01937 522500 for any further details.

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.  This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applications will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check and satisfactory references.
