Wetherby High School is a forward thinking school in North East Leeds that has made significant progress over recent years in improving outcomes for students and colleagues. Providing an inclusive and caring environment, we take pride in knowing our children well and in providing substantial support to both students and colleagues to enable effective teaching and learning.

We are now seeking a Cleaning Assistant who will undertake routine cleaning operations ensuring that the school is cleaned to a high standard throughout with minimum supervision. You will be a team player, who has experience and knowledge of cleaning processes and materials and the associated Health & Safety requirements. This role will require flexible working hours including evenings.

It is essential that the post holder shares our school ethos which is firmly rooted in a restorative approach and the following values: to ‘Know our children well’: to be ‘Partners in Learning’: to develop ‘Character for Achievement’; to ‘Enjoy and Aspire’. We firmly believe that in order to move forwards we need to be prepared and able to ‘do things differently and do different things’.

We significantly invest in the development and training of all colleagues who are equally happy to share their expertise, skills and knowledge across the organisation. If you have a genuine desire to work as part of our team, to make a positive difference to our children, please submit an application form and covering letter to hr@wetherbyhigh.co.uk. This advert will close as soon as we appoint a suitable candidate.

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applications will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check and satisfactory references.
