During Spring Term 2 our Year 10’s had the opportunity to spend a week experiencing life in the work place.
What a time they have had!! They have been to a large variety of different placements, ranging from working in Primary Schools, Jewellers, Diagnostic Labs, Tennis Clubs, Cafes, Golf Clubs, Electricians, Hair Dressers, Garages, Computer Companies, Dog Walkers and so many more.
The overwhelming response has been that the experience has been enlightening, fun and enjoyable, though it has also been mentioned how exhausted some of the students were at the end of the working day, one student even falling asleep on his journey home from Halifax!! The most memorable quote I have heard is ‘It was sick’. High praise indeed!!
Year 9, it isn’t too long before you start having to find a placement for yourselves, so start thinking about what you might like to do.
