We are delighted to share our Ofsted inspection report in which our school was graded as a Good school. We are particularly proud that the report recognises that the school’s work to promote personal development and welfare is Outstanding.

Outcomes; Teaching, Learning and Assessment, 16-19 programmes of study as well as Leadership and Management have also all been graded as Good.

Inspectors observed that we are a “truly inclusive school where every pupil is valued and cared for” and that “pupils are immensely proud of their school”. They commented that “the pastoral support provide by the school is a clear strength” and that “pupils make good progress across a range of subjects”.

The report recognises that “Students are very proud of their sixth form and are a credit to the school”. They comment that students have “high expectations and are good role models”.

Cindy Bentley, Chair of Governors, commented “I and my fellow-governors are delighted that the school has been given the recognition it deserves and that all of the hard work that has gone on over the last 5 years has been validated.  Our thanks go to all of our staff, children and families whose faith in our school and its values and ethos has finally been rewarded with this exceptionally positive Ofsted inspection report.”

We are looking forward to the next exciting phase for WHS and continuing to work, thrive and excel together.
