In the Sixth Form at Wetherby High School we encourage a holistic approach to the development of our students, developing ‘Character for Achievement’. We encourage our students to take opportunities to develop new skills which in turn can be used for CV’s or UCAS statements.
Sixth Formers contribute to the school life by holding positions of responsibility from Head Boy and Girl, Head of House where students assist in the running of competitions and charity events, Assistant coaches, achieving the coaching award and leading coaching sessions.
The Sixth Form council meets once every half term to discuss and develop aspects of sixth form life and all year 12 students volunteer for 1 hour a week, where students use their strengths and skills to help and assist younger students in a broad range of activities as part of their community contribution.
A wide variety of activities are offered in the Flexible Programme which changes on a half termly basis.
